Oh, yes, thank you for that! The city and Estelle are fine. Your help was greatly appreciated, even though I'm sure Yuri never thought to thank you for that.
And a lot happened between Ghastfarost and Heracles, so if you have a question about something, you should just ask it.
Yuri has bigger things to worry about at the moment. Anyway, he knows he doesn't need to thank me. He's done more for the world and our people than I have.
To be honest, I have questions about everything. I hardly know where to begin. It seems that you foresaw this outcome, at least as far as the blastia were concerned. Why didn't you tell anyone what you were doing, and why?
I don't disagree with you. I think Estelle is fine the way she is.
Although, I bet if you told her that you like her just fine as she is, she'd be over the moon.
[Better consider that one out, Yuri.]
Well, you could always ask questions or we could hang out, but I get that you've been spending a lot of time with Flynn. It makes sense, considering you're best friends.
No, I don't think he has. You've been working very hard to try and keep things sane. While I don't agree with you about a lot of things, I know that you've been trying to do what you think is best for everyone.
You're one of the fairest people I've met, Flynn. You shouldn't doubt yourself so much.
I didn't see the reason to tell anyone. Like I told Yuri, I went around destroying the blastias because I wanted to.
My father developed that formula and it's dangerous. It's something that needed to be done, so I did it. That's all.
Have you actually ever said that to her, Yuri? Girls need to hear the words sometimes, you know.
Of course we should hang out. I guess it doesn't even have to involve fighting. Maybe dinner? Just don't let Flynn do anything with it. I've heard about the s'mores from a few weeks ago. How'd he get chocolate to taste like carrots is still something I don't understand.
You know very well why it's important to listen to doubts about myself. I can't simply trust that I will always do the right thing. That was a naive way to think, clearly, because I didn't. Even now, I should be trying with all that I have to get home and fix this!
I've had to cook recently. One of my cabinmates has no idea what poisonous mushrooms and herbs look like. I like living, Yuri. She's nice, but her cooking is worse than Flynn's.
I'm not saying that it's not important to doubt yourself. We all do.
You let it eat away at you, however.
You do the best job that you can with the information you have. Sometimes bad things happen. That's how life works. And you can't fix everything. Especially not alone. That kind of thinking will make you no better than Alexei. That's why Ioder, Estelle, Yuri and the rest of us are working and helping in the ways we can. We didn't create this issue, but we are stuck fixing it. So, we're doing what we can when we can. That includes you.
As far as my father's research goes... I can understand why he started it, but it's flawed and it's been abused. There's no accounting for the way that the excess aer effects the rest of the world. And there aren't enough Entelexeia to help fix the aer krenes thanks to the Great War. Ba'ul, Krones and the others can't keep up with the activity. And, well, Alexei murdering the Entelexeia for their apatheia certainly didn't help.
I should have asked that first. This is all very scattered. Thank you. For confirming that, and for reminding me of that truth. That's something Yuri and I had talked about, here, but... I had forgotten it. Or, maybe, not learned it. At home.
I suppose that you weren't really carrying out your mission alone? You had Ba'ul to help.
I can see how you'd think that. He's not exactly the easiest to talk to, even for me, but he has a lot of reasons to hate the humans of Terca Lumireis, Flynn.
Well, the Imperial family forgot a lot of what they were doing over the years and then just didn't tell the rest of the humans why blastia are dangerous.
So, I guess it rests on the head of them, but Ioder and Estelle were just as in the dark as anyone else. If the Empire hadn't maligned the Entelexeia during the Great War, I'm sure that they'd have learned sooner what they were doing was wrong.
But I have a feeling that some people wouldn't care either way, so long as they were on top. Yuri wasn't wrong to get rid of them because they'd just keep abusing those around them.
Increasingly, I believe I feel the same way. I may wish that there had been another way, and that I had been able to keep my promise to change things for the better, but looking at things in the light of how things are, rather than how I wished they would be?
I hope you're well. I had a question, if you have a moment: do you know anything about the tradition behind throwing toilet paper over people's houses?
